Anyone can take a picture. It takes a professional to find the best qualities in a person and highlight those so that they can look their absolute best. I make a significant effort to consider lighting, background, composition, and the comfort of the person being photographed. 
 

I have worked as a freelance photographer for the past 40+ years, shooting editorial assignments, events, and professional portraits. This work allows me to create imagery in a variety of environments. Working with a diverse group of clients allows me to tailor my skills to meet their photography needs.

Some of my clients have included People Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Richmond Times-Dispatch, The Reuters News Agency, United Press International, Associated Press, and numerous other publications.

I earned my Masters of Fine Arts-Photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University and my Bachelors of Fine Arts from Louisiana Tech University. I have called many cities home throughout my career. I lived in Schenectady New York, Anchorage Alaska, Milwaukee Wisconsin, Louisiana, Alexandria, Virginia and now Richmond, Virginia.
